Therese Van Es
Chief People Leader


Therese Van Es is a Human Resources Executive with 25 years of experience. Her passion is providing HR solutions for her clients by helping them build their HR infrastructure through people and strategic vision. Prior to launching Ladder HR Solutions, Therese held several corporate HR leadership positions in logistics, manufacturing, IT, and professional services organizations. Therese is a skilled facilitator and has served as Professor of Performance Management. Passionate about creating change in the HR function, Therese mentors newly minted HR professionals. Therese graduated from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business with the Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management. She also holds an Honours Certification in Management and a diploma in Accounting. Therese enjoys spending time with family, hiking, and also considers herself a natural nutrition nut.

With 13 years of experience focusing on employee & manager coaching in addition to recruitment, she has steered many people in the direction of the goals they wished to achieve. Trish also has a background in life and career coaching, which essentially lead to the same outcome – goal attainment. Her passion is people and to help others reach their goals successfully. Ashton Sauer
HR Generalist


Ashton Sauer is an HR Generalist at Ladder HR Solutions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and a post-graduate certificate specializing in Human Resources Management from Fanshawe College. With 6 years of experience in Human Resources Ashton is able to create policies that adhere to current legislation, create employee training programs, develop rewards and recognition programs, and offer advice on complex employee issues. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Ashton understands the issues effecting local businesses and offers creative solutions. In her spare time, she is busy raising her 3 young children while attempting not to eat all the chocolate. She gets it.

Katherine Englander

SR HR Consultant and Outplacement Counsellor


With over thirty years of HR experience, Katherine Englander is an HR Subject Matter Expert in recruiting, performance management, managing absenteeism, layoffs and dismissals as well as general compliance to employment law. She has worked in a wide variety of industries. She also has been teaching at Fanshawe College for over 10 years on a part time basis. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and psychology; a Certificate in Human Resources Management, and an HR Business Partner Certificate. She serves as a Director on the Elgin Middlesex Oxford Workforce Planning Board.
