Position: Accounts Payable

Magil Construction in London, ON is searching for their next employee to join the team! This is an entry-level role perfect for someone looking to make a career move or start a career in finance and accounting.

​

This is an in-person full-time role working out of the London office.

​

Responsibilities

  • Verify and code supplier/subcontractor invoices and credit memos 

  • Scan, code, & attach supporting documents for applicable invoices

  • Respond to supplier/subcontractor's telephone and email inquiries

  • Reconcile AP Statements received and resolve discrepancies

  • Prepare Excel spreadsheets listing charges & code the appropriate Job # or GL accounts for various vendors/suppliers

  • Backfill for AP Specialist

 

Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary school in a financial or accounting field

  • 1+ year of experience in a related role is an asset but not required

  • Advanced knowledge & ability in Excel to produce spreadsheets & apply formulas

  • Willingness to learn & adapt to changing priorities

  • Team player with great problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent time management & attention to detail
