Millards Chartered Professional Accountants is searching for an experienced Accounting & Assurance Manager to join their team in Norfolk County, ON!

This client-facing role offers you the chance to utilize your collaboration skills as well as your ability to provide clients with a variety of general accounting and auditing services.
Our ideal candidate has their CPA designation and loves to connect with clients in order to provide tailored public accounting and financial services.

Requirements:

CPA designation
-
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or Business

5-6 years of public accounting experience
-
Knowledge of government taxes (payroll, consumer, and other business)

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Proficient in MS Office suite and public accounting software
-
A multi-tasker who can manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy

Organized with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines

Job Duties:
-
Audit, review, and compilation of personal and corporate tax returns
-
Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and tax returns for compilation
-
Review engagements according to Firm and regulatory standards for clients in a variety of businesses (Personal, Corporate, Taxation, Valuation, and Technology)

Ensure that all significant engagement matters are documented and brought to the attention of the Partner

Coordinate and follow-up with the appropriate government agencies as required, of tax assignments including preparation of tax returns (T1, T2s, T4s, T5s, HST)

Coordinate with the tax department to ensure queries are cleared and deadlines are met
-
Develop and maintain trusting relationships with long-term clients
-
Mentor and train CPA Students in best practices as they progress through to the CPA accreditation process
